Fashion Show 3.0 brought the developing Anton Alexander label to a Fort Wayne runway in June 2012. After the earlier local shows and a Midwest Fashion Week appearance, the event introduced full looks and designer dress shirt prototypes under the new name. More than 300 guests attended, according to the original event account.
Fashion Show 3.0 and the emerging label
The years leading to this event involved more than clothing sketches. The founder was learning design, sewing and patterns, photography tools, web design, marketing, and event planning. The name also changed from Exotiq Apparel to Anton Alexander.
The June 2012 event brought together other designers for a runway evening while providing a stage for the label’s own menswear direction. Color and contrasting details connected the shirt prototypes to the creative interests visible in the earlier shows.
Those interests became more specific as the work developed: a familiar men’s shirt could carry a personal detail through the collar, cuff, fabric, or button treatment.
