A wider stage for the first prototypes.
Midwest Fashion Week 2011 gave the developing Anton Alexander concept a new setting in Indianapolis, Indiana. For the Fall 2011 event, the founder created 13 menswear prototype outfits. The appearance followed the first full local menswear collection and offered another opportunity to develop the label’s point of view.
What Midwest Fashion Week 2011 meant for the collection
After the work behind Fashion Show 2.0, the invitation offered a different stage for the men’s designs. Thirteen prototypes brought together shirt colors, contrasting details, and full outfit styling in a runway presentation.
A prototype is part of the development process. It lets a designer see how a fabric, proportion, or detail behaves as a complete garment and how separate pieces read together. These archived images preserve that stage of the work.
The original account describes the founder as the event’s only menswear designer at that appearance. That made the opportunity particularly relevant to the direction he was developing.
