Before the label, there was an idea.
The Livin Loud Fashion Show was an early test of a creative direction: bright color, distinctive details, and the energy of an evening event. Held in Fort Wayne, Indiana in June 2010, it came before the Anton Alexander label and helped its founder learn what bringing a collection to a runway involved.
What the Livin Loud Fashion Show explored
The original event brought together men’s sport jackets, jeans, dress shirts, and ties alongside women’s cocktail and evening looks. Rhinestone details and strong colors linked the presentation to the “living loud” point of view that gave the show its name.
Preparing the event took about three months. The work involved sourcing clothing and materials, developing decorative ideas, organizing the show, and learning from the pieces used in it. It was an experiment in presentation as well as design.
At this stage, the goal was to understand the process and give a Fort Wayne event the atmosphere its founder associated with a larger fashion scene.
The first practical lessons
A runway idea needs more than a sketch. Clothing has to become a coordinated look, details need to read at a distance, and an event needs people, planning, and a clear presentation. The 2010 show gave the founder a practical introduction to those decisions.
